Kelson is the mechanical contractor for the Country Day School new Athletic Centre. This will be built in two phases. The first phase will include a fieldhouse, signature double gym, spectator lounge, outdoor terrace, and infrastructure, such as washrooms and change rooms. The second phase will include a new fitness centre and several multi-purpose studio rooms for yoga, dance, small gym classes, and many other activities, including a General Store.

Mechanical Systems

Kelson’s mechanical scope includes the installation of four rooftop units (RTUs) equipped with glycol heating and DX cooling, along with three electric humidifiers to support humidity control within the facility. The Level 1 boiler room houses two gas-fired boilers that provide glycol heating for the building, as well as two gas-fired domestic hot water heaters serving the domestic hot water system. In addition, a VRV heat recovery system will be installed, supported by three roof-mounted condensing units to provide efficient heating and cooling. The project also includes the installation of two ceiling-mounted High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) fans located in the Field House to enhance air circulation and occupant comfort.
