Kelson was the prime contractor for the Jarvis Collegiate Institute School project. This project involved steam to hot water conversion. This process requires the removal of the existing steam piping and replacement with hot water piping throughout three levels of the institution and one level located in the basement. This also involved the removal and installation of 3 new air handling units (AHU), and one new multizone AHU. The corridors ceilings were removed starting July 2023 for heating piping and reinstalled by mid-August 2023. All grilles and diffusers were cleaned and rebalanced. This project involved an extremely aggressive schedule in an occupied institutional facility.  There were 4 AHU’s that were shipped separately and assembled on site. Also, 8 HVAC pumps, 6 HEX’s, 3 Expansion tanks, 3 Air separators. The perimeter wall was finished and convection heating installed on all floors.
