Kelson was the mechanical contractor for the Belleville General Hospital MRI & Nuclear Medicnine Chiller replacement project. This renovation project comprises the demolition of existing Nuclear Medicine and MRI chillers, associated components and power connections. Kelson provided a single, new rooftop chiller to support both the Nuclear Medicine and MRI chilled water systems. We also installed piping distribution and re-connection to existing systems from new chiller, and automatic controls for new chiller and associated components. This work was completed in phases to minimize the disruption to the hospital.

Mechanical Systems

Kelson mechanical highlights: A load bank had to be brought in to test the chiller offline prior to final connection to the MRI units. This was a fully occupied healthcare facility with IPAC measures in place.
