Construction of a research laboratory space in an existing building at Seneca @ York Campus including but not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical work, and supply installation of laboratory casework and equipment. Work includes: containment Level 2 (CL2) laboratory facilities, commissioning and testing procedures, and commissioning to verify facility will be eligible to apply for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification.
Mechanical Systems
Plumbing: Cold, Hot, Hot Water Recirc to misc. fixtures and cup sinks (by others), New DHWT / EXP / Recirc pump set up in mechanical room for this project, drainage includes combination of acid waste and cast iron
HVAC: Dedicated closed loop to serve the lab only – Kelson to provide new mechanical equipment to support. Tie in existing heating system piping as shown to maintain base building services. New venturi valve system supplied by JCI for sheet metal installation. Loose reheats provided by Kelson for sheet metal installation, and roof includes 2 general exhaust, 2 lab exhaust and 2 RTU.
