Union Station Revitalization early works projects are intended to prepare the building for the master plan revitalization. Early works projects includes demolition of vacant office areas, providing temporary services for new office spaces and the relocation of existing tenants to temporary locations to suit construction phasing requirements. Early works also encompasses the addition of a new Panoramic Lounge for Via clientele, as well as the addition as a Baggage handling conveyor system for Via passengers. Portions of the Early work packages will remain permanent while other portions are to be removed to allow for the future master plan. The master plan of the construction will include the addition of a new basement sub level that will be used for retail purposes, a new glass atrium on the track level as well as glass atrium in the front street moats.
