Branson had several piping services (including high pressure steam) run through an old underground tunnel that was filled with asbestos.  Piping was to be rerouted out of the tunnel and on the roof of the current building.  Kelson was responsible for all aspects of this project.  Kelson retained a structural engineer and contractor to reinforce a 60 year old roof to support the loading of the pipe.  A dog house and associated roofing work was completed to create a leak free penetration into the building.  All services running through the tunnel were to remain active as the hospital required this for operation.  A shutdown was coordinated over the weekend and all services were back-up and running for the next business day.  High-pressure steam was designed with anchors and guides, and registered with TSSA again.  All existing services were demolished up to the tunnel.Â
