This is a 2-phase project to provide brand new facility at existing site location. Kelson is the mechanical contractor responsible for the entire mechanical scope of this project. Phase 1 includes demolition of a portion of the existing building and erection of 2 storey building with two mechanical rooms in the penthouse and basement. Phase 2 includes movement of all personnel from existing building into the newly built Phase 1. This existing section will then be demolished once emptied to allow for the remaining portion of the new build to proceed.

Mechanical Systems

The building relies on zero emissions so there is no gas fired equipment. Instead the building relies on geothermal for heating/cooling. There are multiple geothermal heat pumps serving the heating and cooling loops. There are 4 main air handlers units (AHU) in the penthouse serving all areas of the building. The building includes various terminal level methods of heating including VAVs, cabinet heaters, unit heaters, make up airs and radiant heating. There are various holding cells with penal grade fixtures.
