The Canadian Leadership Data Center is a Tier III facility designed to support both Strategic Outsourcing (SO) and Business Continuity and Recovery Services (BCRS) for its clients. The initial phase features 25,000 square feet of white space, with 15,000 square feet enabled at 100 W/sf, alongside mechanical and electrical facilities to house the infrastructure supporting the data hall. The project also includes office and administrative areas, as well as additional support spaces for shipping and receiving, facilities management, security, and circulation. The facility was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, reflecting its focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

From a mechanical perspective, Kelson’s scope included the installation of a complete chiller plant, consisting of three 560-ton chillers with associated cooling towers and pumps. Large-bore chilled water piping was installed beneath the raised flooring throughout the data center to support efficient cooling distribution. The project was delivered as a 100% full BIM (Building Information Modeling) project, ensuring precise coordination and integration of all mechanical systems within the Tier III data center design.
