Kelson was the mechanical contractor for the Kingston General Hospital Electrical Infrastructure project. This project involved upgrades and replacement of normal and emergency power systems in two wings of the hospital. The project included the replacement of main and normal service to Connell and Douglas Wings and replacement of the Hospital emergency power system. The new power consists of 2-2.25 MVA diesel generators, closed transition transfer switches, complete removal and supply of a new diesel distribution system, 10 storey generator exhaust system and complete with a new BAS network. The projects major challenge was to provide the above upgrades while maintaining a fully functional health care facility.
