GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical company built a 3 storey addition to their existing facility in 2006. Kelson was the mechanical contractor for this project that consisted of adding manufacturing, warehousing, storage and mechanical room space to their existing building 5 facility.

Mechanical Systems

Kelson mechanical highlights: Installation of new storm, sanitary and process waste buried drains. Extension of the Fire Stand Pipe systems complete with fire hose cabinets and wall hydrant. Hoisting and placement of 2 Air Handling Units into the new third floor mechanical room. Extension of chilled water, heating water and steam & condensate piping from existing system to provide environmental conditioning of the new addition. Installation of compressed dry air and nitrogen piping distribution systems to serve process equipment. Implementation of BAS compatible to the buildings existing BAS. Kelson participated with the owner in successfully completing their quality control and validation protocols allowing GlaxoSmithKline to enter the drug manufacturing phase.
