Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, is an academic health sciences centre located in Toronto, Ontario. It is the largest trauma centre in Canada and is one of two major trauma centres in Toronto; the other is St. Michael's Hospital. Sunnybrook is a teaching hospital, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto.
In the fall of 2016, renovations to Sunnybrook Hospital M Wing HVAC. Kelson was the mechanical contractor for the project with consisted of the addition of two, rooftop air handling units, implemented to heat and pressurize the atrium. These units are being heated by steam coils, the steam piping has been run by Kelson through a PRV station and down through the basement. This was an occupied facility during the renovation period with tight timelines and ability to adhere to the schedule.
