Mechanical Systems

Kelson was the prime contractor at the Lyndhurst Rehabilitation Centre HVAC renovation project. This included the removal of existing chiller plant, and installation of new chiller. Kelson was also responsible for the installation of new chillers and energy measurement and water usage equipment, as a part the building’s HVAC system.  The mechanical room was very small and the size of equipment with clearances was very difficult to achieve. The project was designed around energy efficiency and rebates. Many of the pieces of equipment installed measures energy and water usage. Minimum disruptions and tight timeframe were a factor in this project. The presence of asbestos insulation was identified by Kelson and the owner prior to any work. Kelson organized an asbestos abatement to be conducted by a 3rd party and the work proceeded after confirmation of completion.
