The Rainforest Café is located in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto. This specialty restaurant and bar was within an occupied facility with a unique water filtration system designed for a rainforest feature in restaurant. Geo. A. Kelson installed a humidification system for the fog, and mist to create the restaurants jungle-like atmosphere. Geo. A. Kelson delivered the project on time and on budget. The unique part of this project mechanically was the installation of high pressure air systems which brought the animals to life. These pneumatic systems are essential for the animation of the jungle creatures. The other essential system was the life support system for the exotic fish. They consisted of a saltwater and freshwater purification system. Both systems tempered to the needs of each species.
