Kelson is the mechanical contractor for the Correctional Services of Canada Bath Institution project. The Bath Institution is a standalone medium security facility based on an open campus design model located in Bath, Ontario (just west of Kingston). This project involves the renovation to the following buildings:

Building BB05 – (Recreation, Social Development) – Work in 1 Mechanical Room
Building BB07 – (School, Programs and Health Care Services) – Work in 2 Mechanical Rooms
Building BB20 – (Chapel, Meeting Building) – Work in 2 Mechanical Rooms

Kelson mechanical highlights: The mechanical aspects of this project involve the following; Air Balancing prior to start of work to establish base line volumes. Removal of existing condensing units, along with selective demotion of ductwork, coils and refrigerant lines. Kelson will supply and install heat pumps, energy recovery ventilators, direct expansion coils, ductwork and associate components. Also, the selective electrical demolition and relocations and electrical modifications. The installation of control valves is supplied by Ameresco. The associated building modifications and making good disturbed surfaces, and air balancing at completion of these modifications. This is an occupied institution with security clearance requirements.
