Public Works Government Services Canada New Head Quarters Addition

Location: Ottawa
Project consisted of a new office tower additions to an existing campus. The project required an addition and integration to an existing central cooling plant. This required the installation of large bore piping through an existing and operating building in areas of space constraints. New heating plant with both electrical and natural gas boilers were installed. The building has fully redundant capabilities for all critical operating systems. Building designed for post disaster operation.
Mechanical Systems
Kelson mechanical highlights: central plant integration. “Hot-tap” of large bore piping into live operating central plant system. Work was performed in high security setting. All workers required high level security.
