The scope of the organ regeneration lab renovation project includes the installation of a new rooftop air handling unit, independent exhaust system, 2 new operating rooms, a small lab space, and a few small plumbing jobs.

Mechanical Systems

Kelson mechanical highlights: The air handling unit utilizes low pressure steam & chilled water to provide heating, cooling, and humidification to the new operating rooms. The independent exhaust system consists of a rooftop fan that exhausts air from three biosafety cabinets within the lab space. Within the operating rooms and lab space there is an extensive network of air valves, VAVs, DP sensors, & laminar flow diffusers to provide specific air flows, air pressures, and temperatures to the space. In addition, we’re providing oxygen, medical air, and medical vacuum lines to the operating room surgical arms for their use during surgeries.
