Kelson was the prime contractor for this Make-Up Air Unit project at 71 Charles Street.Β  This project consisted of the removal and disposing of existing corridor make-up air unit and related equipment. Kelson then supplied and installed new extended housekeeping pad for the MUA.Β  This increased the size of existing ventilation intake opening at mechanical room.Β  Kelson also installed; new make-up air unit, cooling tower, install galvanized ductwork, and new gylocl heating piping. This project involved a complexed weekend crane lift in downtown Toronto core. The cooling tower & VFD manufacturers, along with the electrical team and Kelson, worked together to provide the client the most efficient controls set-up for the new cooling tower. The VFD use was optimized in such a manger that the most amount of energy and water were saved upon cooling tower start-up. Kelson also upgraded the BAS system.
