Westin Harbour Castle Hotel Chiller Upgrade (HVAC Reno) PRIME

Kelson was the Prime Contractor for the Westin Harbour Hotel Chiller Upgrade as an improvement to the HVAC system. Removing existing 800 ton chiller and replacing with a 500 ton and 300 ton chillers. New accessory equipment was 6 – 6” pumps, side stream filtration unit, power distribution panels with transformers and VFD’s. This project had very tight timeless and Kelson achieve scheduled dates.
Mechanical Systems
Mechanical Highlight: New chillers to run on continual system for energy conservation.
HVAC Equipment Removal: Kelson was responsible for the safe decommissioning, refrigerant removal, demolition of existing equipment and safe disposal of the existing chiller plant.
HVAC Equipment Supply: Kelson managed the procurement process, tendering the equipment, negotiating purchase agreements and managing the shop drawing process.Â
HVAC Installation:  The chiller installation required complex rigging and hoisting into the building up the parking garage ramp. Installation and commissioning of the chiller complete with associated pumps and VFDs. Â
