Kelson is the mechanical contractor for the new Stronach Aurora Recreational Complex (SARC) addition. This involves site work, renovation and a new addition of 13,500 sq.ft. for a fitness/recreational area. The project scope includes the addition of a standard single high school-sized gymnasium at 8,000 square feet, attached to the existing pool corridor. In addition to the gym space, the project will include: dry change rooms, storage, a new customer service area, washrooms, and a retrofit of the SARC’s existing pre-school room, to make it more of a multi-purpose space, and including a new folding partition to allow division of the space. Furthermore, there will be a new sound system within gymnasium space, and security improvements (interior/exterior). This new gymnasium will allow for the expansion of program offerings to the community and external support groups.
