Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital - Boiler/HVAC Replacement - PRIME

Kelson was the Prime contractor to replace 3 boilers in the Orillia Soldiers Memorial acute care hospital. Kelson was also responsible for an asbestos abatement on all the existing insulation, the boiler breaching overhead, and drop in a replacement liner extending the height to the MOE regulated height.
Mechanical Systems
Kelson mechanical highlights: Kelson establish the hospital on temporary boiler steam feeders outside the building. Kelson organized the abatement of asbestos and demolition of 3 existing boilers, and replaced with 3 new Boilers that were brought in pieces and assembled in place. Also, breaching built overhead and new liner dropped in from the outside. Kelson was responsible for all the HVAC system installation. The Orillia Soldier Memorial Hospital is an occupied healthcare facility and Kelson installed a temporary boiler to keep the hospital live during downtime of boiler replacement.
