Humber College – Building F Addition

This Humber College project is a two-storey addition plus penthouse built on top of an existing two-storey building. The building is used for central classroom spaces and a science suite and serves Humber’s Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Health Sciences programs.

Mechanical Systems

The first phase consisted of cut, cap and make-safe of existing services to allow the remedial work to take place. This was done in a two-month period to allow for occupancy. The next phase focusses on two floors of classroom and lab areas. The mechanical scope includes the following work:

  • Install lab services
  • Re-route existing services into the new space without disruption to the existing facility
  • Install a new chiller and boiler
  • Install a dedicated air handling system in the newly built penthouse.
