Queen Alexandra Middle School - Steam to Hot Water Conversion & Pool Duct Replacement

Kelson is the prime contractor for the Queen Alexandra project. This project involves steam to hot water conversion. This process requires the removal of the existing steam piping and replacement with hot water piping throughout two levels of the institution and one level located in the basement. This also involves the removal and installation of 4 new air handling units and replacement of 5 roof exhaust fans. All perimeter heating was being removed and replaced with new. This project involves an extremely aggressive schedule in an occupied institutional facility. There are 4 AHU’s that are to be shipped separately and assembled on site. Also, 5 HVAC pumps, 1 HEXs, 1 Expansion tanks, 1 Air separator. The perimeter wall will need to be finished and convection heating installed on all floors. All pool piping within the filter room is being replaced. This is an occupied facility.
