Kelson was the prime contractor for the Belleville General Hospital Air Handling Unit replacement project. The project entailed supply and installation of a new rooftop unit (RTU) which required steam and condensate for heating and humidification for the CAT Scan Area complete with air distribution ductwork. This was an occupied facility and Kelson had to maintain half the department while the installation took place. Kelson incorporated a heat exchanger pump skid inside an air handling unit, and roof mounted it due to space restrictions. This was a multi-phased job to do multiply renovations using the new equipment, while increasing its workload to match the new areas available to us, without disrupting the areas already served.
