The West Parry Sound Recreation & Cultural Centre Board is a new recreational and cultural centre located at 44 Joseph Street in Parry Sound, ON. The 41,000 SF, one story facility includes a natatorium complete with a 6 lane, 25m lap pool and a leisure pool, a high school sized gymnasium, fitness and aerobics spaces, and multi-purpose rooms. This facility promises to be a vibrant hub for community engagement, physical activity, and artistic expression. Natatorium: The WPSRCC will house a natatorium equipped with a 6-lane, 25-meter lap pool and a leisure pool. Whether for competitive swimming or leisurely water activities, this aquatic space will cater to all ages. Gymnasium: A high school-sized gymnasium will provide ample space for basketball, volleyball, and other indoor sports. It will serve as a versatile venue for both recreational play and organized events. Fitness and Aerobics Spaces: Health and wellness are at the forefront of the WPSRCC’s design. Fitness enthusiasts can look forward to well-equipped workout areas and dedicated spaces for aerobics classes. Multi-Purpose Rooms: These flexible rooms will accommodate various community programs, workshops, and cultural events. Mechanical Systems
Mechanical piping and equipment installation has continued throughout the ground floor. This includes therapy pool walls, lap pool walls, over head piping in studio and shower rough ins completed. Major equipment such as the roof top units, air handling units, air source heat pump and rooftop dedicated condenser.
