Dunbarton High School is a large public secondary school located in Pickering, Ontario, and is part of the Durham District School Board (DDSB). Mechanical Systems
Kelson will be working the job as the mechanical prime contractor on the job responsible for the mechanical scope of work including the of managing all construction trades on the job inclusive of electrical, structural, roofing, general trades, abatement, and more. The mechanical scope entails implementing and upgrading their existing ventilation systems with three new air handling units with heating & cooling, new controls, pneumatic control valves, and increased gas loads in the building. The general trade’s scope of work includes the abatement of the spaces including the reinstallation of new ceiling and grids in the corridor and classroom spaces to allow for new duct and pipe for rooftop air handling units to be installed. Structural trade’s scope includes patching of existing rooftop openings and doghouses as well as construction of new roof assemblies for ductwork penetrations with curb flashing.
